The supreme court circa 1965

Supreme Court circa 1965

In 1965 a new court house was erected on the corner of Mitchell and Herbert Streets. This building was originally occupied by both the Supreme Court and the lower courts, until further appointments to the Supreme Court bench necessitated the provision of a separate building for the lower courts in the mid-1970's.

Justice Bridge was the last judge to occupy the Sidney Williams Hut in Mitchell Street and the first Judge to occupy the new premises above.
